We have been a quality provider of refrigerated transportation since 1982, with trucking roots in the Franzen family going back to 1936. D. J. Franzen is in business for the long haul, with a tradition of dedication and service to the transportation business. Our corporate headquarters is in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. We service all 48 contiguous states and haul all manner of dry and refrigerated non-Hazmat freight back toward the Upper Midwest. Attention to customer needs is the foundation of our continued success.
Our Fleet
Today’s D. J. Franzen, Inc. is prepared to serve your needs with 53’ refrigerated, air ride trailers and late model tractors, all maintained in our own shop. Our equipment is light enough to handle most dry freight as well, leaving us well prepared for your needs. Currently our fleet numbers 82 tractors and 120 trailers. Tractors are primarily Peterbilt 387 units that are light, aerodynamic, comfortable, and safe.
Our Drivers
D. J. Franzen trailers are all company-owned, while drivers are under contract through our lease-to-own Owner/Operator program. This gives us the sort of committed professionals needed to ensure safe, professional, high-service pick up and delivery that makes you and your product look good.
